Brandon Roy decided a future of being able to walk without pain was more important than his NBA career, and retired last year.
After battling degenerative knees, reports say that Roy has been working out, and attempting to make a comeback to the league. Here is what USA Today reported...

Roy took to former teammate Will Conroy's account to break the news. Some of his tweets:
-Yes I'm preparing for a comeback. I'm training daily
-I'm preparing for a return next year.. God willing
-I appreciate the luv.. Hopefully ill be back on the floor soon
If Roy does return to full or capable health, it won't be with Portland, the team that drafted him.
The Trail Blazers used the amnesty clause on Roy's contract, leading to his retirement.
For those who are not aware, Roy was expected to be one of, if not the top shooting guards in the coming post Kobe Bryant era.
