Man, I was with you until you hit that math. His bail is $300,000. If his supporters are trying to raise money to cover his bail solely by selling watermelons for $5 per melon, they would need to sell 60, 000 melons to cover the cost of bail.
Side bar: if the supporters of a black defendant tried to raise money this way, can you imagine the crazy news coverage and the public fallout? |
