Actually, it is different. Lebron, Bosh, and Wade are all close friends and requested to be on the same team. Lebron and Bosh requested to be on The Heat. Lebron had The Bulls, Knicks, and other teams offering him way more, but the only thing he was concerned about was Championships. And there was way too much hype around Lebron leaving Clevland(after they threw him a parade and held 'Lebron day'. And after he PROMISED to bring them a ring). Then after the deal was made, him, Wade, and Bosh kinda became characters, doing commercials, giving themselves the name of "The Big 3", The Heatles", etc. Basically, they were hyping themselves up...then when the season started...they were losing. It got annoying.
The Laker deal on the other hand was a 4-way trade that was done by the actual trade deadline. Dwight Howard didnt request to be traded to LA, thats just how it happened, LA made room for him. Kobe didnt request ANYONE be traded or brought in, thats just the way things happened. Steve Nash was simply a free agent and the Lakers GM(Magic Johnson) thought Steve Nash would be a good addition to the team, since we desperately needed a good Point Gaurd.
Lebron cant be Jordan because he left and joined anotheer mans team. Kobe can be Jordan because The Lakers know, they have to build a team around him. Plus, hes going on 17 years with The Lakers...so...yeah. |

Actually Dwight didn't pull a LeBron move. He got traded to LA. However LeBron chose to go to Miami. There's a difference between a willing choice and being traded. Don't blame Kobe and Dwight for the great moves the LA general manager is and has made. Also, I'm a Laker fan all day but I'm also watching the other LA team, they've made a lot of acquisitions in this offseason. Lakers Championship and Kobe's 6th ring in 2013 |

Finally A skilled Point Gaurd that can change the flow of the game with his passing, AND he can spot up and hit the jumper or penetrate the lane. And we got a dominant, consistant big man that can score AND defend. With Dwight Howards personality, he will fit perfectly in LA. Now when Kobe retires in a few years, The Lakers will still have a player to focus their franchise around. Good move LA...I feel bad for all the other teams that kinda got less though. |
