I'm dark skinned and never really had an issue with it. Although I'm taken, dark, light and caramel guys always try to get at me, more than my two other good friends who are both light skinned. I think it's because I carry myself better and I kinda know what guys want/like. I go to an HBCU and there's endless BEAUTIFUL DARK SKINNED people. Idk why people care about skin color anymore, its so juvenile. |

Personally, being a darkskinned female I don't have a specific preference as to what toned man I talk to. Now as far as sight seeing goes....I LOVE looking at a nice chocolate man It just melts me But I'm not so closed minded as to where I won't give a light skinned man a chance. It all eventually boils down to personality, may he be as dark as night or high yellow. You may SAY you like your men light, but a dark man may treat you WAYYYY better. And it also works vice versa. Yes, the fact is true that light skinned women DO get more air time than us dark ones and yes it MAY be true that many men do not hold the perception that a lot of dark skinned women are beautiful. But being as dark as I am, just makes me feel closer to my roots. Meaning I don't get mistaken to be mixed, from another country?? maybe but I will always be black and that's whats up. like it or love it |

When I go out with my girl, I get just as much attention as she does an she's light with good hair also.
